RICHMOND RUSH CAFE
COFFEE and cycling is a classic combo. But you do not need to pull on your lycras and shine up your bike to call in here for a cup of Coffee Supreme's smooth and spicy South Blend. During the week, the crowd is mainly commuters on their way to nearby Richmond station or locals in search of Noisette morsels. The cafe, with its groovy, bike-inspired artwork, has its own entrance on Stewart Street, while the bike shop fronts onto Punt Road. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, owner Simon Coffin dusts off his bike and heads off with a bunch of riders before 7am. Partner Francine Sculli, who oversees the food, might offer ravenous riders some house-made Italian staples such as lasagne or salads when they are ready to give up the pedalling. 4 Stewart Street, Richmond, 9421 0070, Mon-Sat 6.30am-3pm, Sun 7am-2pm Read more: http://www.theage.com.au/entertainment/restaurants-and-bars/five-of-a-kind-not-just-coffee-20111118-1nm8l.html#ixzz1eIAWFgve |
